How Do We Move On From Our Past Projects?

There's a strange truth about creating art: it never really leaves us. Even when we bury our old songs under years of new soundscapes, delete demos from forgotten hard drives, or rebrand ourselves to escape what came before, the echoes remain.  Life does not erase.  it archives.

Our past projects live on as snapshots of who we were.  They are the emotions, the mistakes, the hunger, and the fear. We might cringe when we hear them again, but that discomfort is proof of growth. The songs we wish we could rewrite are the same ones that taught us how to write.

Moving on isn’t about erasing. It’s about integration.

We carry every riff, every failed mix, every project that never saw release, into the present. They live in our timing, our instincts, our tone. The secret is learning to honor them without being defined by them.

At StarFate Records, we believe each phase of creativity leaves a constellation in your artistic universe.  Imagine them as points of light you can still trace when you feel lost. You don’t have to destroy what came before to evolve. You just have to let it orbit differently.

The past doesn’t hold us back.

It reminds us where we’ve launched from.

And sometimes, looking back is how we remember why we began at all.
